It specialises in providing dedicated dementia care and, thanks to a recent refurbishment, The Oaks also has en-suite rooms throughout and all modern amenities.

Lovely, friendly staff. Always go out of the way to make mum comfortable & meet her needs. Nice & clean. Love the fact that all meals are home cooked, wonderful menu variety. Afternoon entertainment run by Dawn is excellent. Xmas & New Year entertainment was great fun. No corkscrew lol!

The staff are always attentive and caring , Frankie keeps the residents entertained with fun games and exercises, my mother seems happy there and I know she is safe. I would recommend Ferndale to anyone thinking of a care home for their parents

My mum has been a resident since 2021 and has settled in well and is very happy and contented. The manager and all the workers are caring and really lovely towards her. They encourage Mum to make decisions and to participate in the daily activities that Ferndale put on for the benefit of the residents. Mum particularly likes the keep fit sessions. All of Mum’s needs are catered for including a hairdresser, optician, dentist and chiropodist. My mum is safe and well  cared for and I am kept abreast of how Mum is doing at every stage.
